The Basics / Character Applications

How do I get started?
First review all the information under the Information board (if you're here that's a good start)! Once you're finished with that, go ahead and post a character application under Pending Applications. Wait for it to be accepted by a staff member, and then you can start a roleplay thread or join an existing one.

Can my character evolve?
Yes, your character can evolve (if they are of a species which does evolve) and it is entirely up to you when they do so.

What if my character only evolves through trade / evo stone / when it's raining on a Tuesday and my 3DS is upside-down?
If your character is of a pokémon species which normally evolves through methods not available in a wild pokémon RP, you are free to ignore those constraints and have your pokémon evolve through traditional means.

Can my character have an unusual pattern / extra markings?
Yes, within reason. If you're unsure, don't hesitate to check with a staff member. Examples of acceptable variants are: Spots, stripes, etc. on pokémon that usually don't have such markings. Stylistic choices made by artists are also generally acceptable (such as extra fur).

Can my character have a mutation?
Yes, but you must first purchase the corresponding mutation from the shop (under the "Mutations" tab). Once purchased, you can go ahead and post your character application under the Pending Applications board.

Can you character have an accessory?
Yes, but you must first purchase the corresponding accessory from the shop (under the "Accessories" tab). Accessories can be applied at any time to any character, whether they are new or already existing.

Can I play a shiny pokémon?
Yes, but you must first purchase a Shiny Pokémon item from the shop (under the "Mutations" tab). Once purchased, you can go ahead and post your application under the Pending Applications board!

Can I play a legendary pokémon?
Yes, but you must first purchase the corresponding legendary pokémon from the shop (under the "Characters" tab). Once purchased, you can go ahead and post your application under the Pending Applications board! Please note that legendaries are on a first-come first-serve basis, and legendaries will be returned to the shop after 6 weeks of inactivity with no prior notice.

Can I play my own pokémon species?
Yes, but you must first purchase the Custom Pokémon Species from the shop (under the "Characters" tab). Once purchased, this will allow you to post your custom pokémon species application using the Custom Species Form. Wait for it to be accepted by a staff member, and then you (as well as anyone you permit), may create a character of that species. If posting an image of your species, please take care that you own the image, or that you have permission to use it.

Groups & Guilds

How do I join a guild?
Head on over to the Groups & Guilds board, and see if there are any that interest you. Each guild will have its own rules in process for joining, so take a look at their thread and see what requirements they have (if any).

How do I start a guild?
First, you must purchase the New Guild item from the shop (under the "Guilds" tab). Once purchased, you can head on over to the Groups & Guilds board and post your guild thread. Be sure to include information about your guild, as well as rules for joining!

How do I create a headquarters for my guild?
First, you must purchase a Guild Headquarters item from the shop (under the "Guilds" tab). Once purchased, you can go ahead and message Revan with the exact location on the map where you would like your guild HQ (the map will be updated with your guild location marked). You must also provide a board description and 150x150 board image, since your guild HQ will have its own board for roleplaying.

What happens if my guild becomes inactive?
Guilds with no activity after 3 months will have their HQ and board removed in order to keep the site free from clutter. If you'd like to reinstate an inactive guild, simply send a message to Revan.
